Running away from your problems will only make them worse. No matter whether through distraction or obsession. Nothing will suddenly make you happy or magically remove everything bad from your life. The faster you acknowledge, accept and understand what’s wrong, the faster you can work to improve your situation. No university, relationship, grade or book can fix them for you, so don’t pretend they can.
Fleeing from toxic places and people, however, is not the same thing, and is actively encouraged if it is safe and productive to do so
Just thinking about people making year-end summaries of their accomplishments and also about reasons to keep yourself alive through the next year. Sorry, it’s a bit of a sappy comic.
Imagine wanting to spend billions on something so easily circumvented.
I guess lefties think that illegal aliens can walk on water.
Wow, you’re right. There’s a huge flaw in my post, I forgot that humans have no way to get across water. Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll get right on deleting this.
as a procrastinating overachiever i feel like i don’t necessarily “half-ass” things, it’s more like a “3/4 ass”. like overall did i do pretty well? yeah. did i reach my maximum potential though? i think the fuck Not.
“you can’t be tired,” chortles a middle aged family friend, “you’re young!”
“really??” I exclaim. I had no idea. my exhaustion lifts off my shoulders, the bags under my eyes disappear. I no longer need sleep, due to my invigorating youth. I Am Free.
honestly missionaries are evil. the idea of traveling the world to tell people Who Didnt Fucking Ask that their beliefs are wrong in the hopes that theyll adopt your beliefs seems sinister
An Inuit hunter asked the local missionary priest: “If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?”
“No,” said the priest, “not if you did not know.”
“Then why,” asked the Inuit earnestly, “did you tell me?”
